MANTIS

The default conversion for Mantis applications is to a COBOL/CICS configuration with screens being converted to the CICS mapping sub-system; BMS.  Data access to VSAM, SQL relational DB and even DLI is supported.
Important to note is that Mantis is a conversational language, and that CICS is designed to operate principally in a pseudo-conversational mode. For this reason, the conversion of Mantis to COBOL will also result in the restructuring of the converted application from conversational to pseudo-conversational format.
This is achieved through the use of automation tools. Following the automated conversion, very little manual intervention is required to get the application running and producing results that are functionally equivalent to those produced by the pre-converted application.
The Migrated code may optionally be converted to operate as Direct COBOL Web-services where the application front end may be a web service client deployed under .Net or J2EE.
